Dubai Internet City, a member of TECOM Investments, today announced it will highlight its growing presence in the ICT sector during its second consecutive partnership with Telecoms World Middle East 2011.

To be held from 3-6 October at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai, the sixth edition of the event will bring together over 500 industry professionals and more than 90 telecom operators from across the Middle East, including mobile and fixed operators, wholesale carriers, regulators, network infrastructure vendors, system integrators, lawyers, consultants and content owners.

Featuring five different seminars under one umbrella, the show will deliberate on crucial topics that impact the growth of the telecom industry such as revenue growth and future investment.

The ‘Telecoms World Awards Middle East’ will be held on the second day of the event and recognise outstanding achievement of organisations in contributing to the development of the industry in the Middle East.

Malek Al Malek, Managing Director, Dubai Internet City, said: “Our partnership in Telecoms World Middle East comes as part of our continuous endeavour to enhance the ICT infrastructure in the region. Over the years, the seminars have successfully brought together key players that drive the growth and development of the industry in the Middle East. In this highly competitive new environment, the event provides a perfect regional platform to network, share ideas and identify opportunities to maximise profitability.”

Matthew Wallhead, General Manager, Telecoms World Middle East 2011, said: “The association with DIC will encourage leaders in the ICT sector to participate at Telecoms World Middle East and offer valuable insights into the trends and development of the industry. The event promises to provide visitors as well as exhibitors a vast choice of enabling opportunities that will drive their business into the next level of growth.”

Telecoms World Middle East 2011 will witness industry experts participating and debating in panel discussions such as ‘Operators in the Middle East will have to abandon flat rate billing if they are to reap the actual’. A CEO session on ‘Taking back the customer as competitive new players test loyalty’ will also headline the event.

At the forefront of the region's ICT industry, Dubai Internet City remains committed to supporting emerging technology trends in the region and continues to play an instrumental role in developing the industry while contributing to Dubai's drive for creating a knowledge-based economy.
