Registration and Licensing Department

Registration and Licensing Department is the focal point for registration and incorporation of new companies in the Free Zone

In accordance with the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Licensing Regulations, Business Partners are required to be registered and have a valid commercial license at all times during their operation in the Zone.

The Registration and Licensing Department (RLD) provides the following services:
1.     Company Registry, and
2.     Licensing

Company Registry

The company registration Section provides fast and simple registration and incorporation services for clients to secure status as a legal entity, obtain credit and raise capital.

Amendments can be made to the Company Register on the request of the client i.e., share transfer, capital increase/decrease, change of financial year, change of bank, change of directors, shareholders or managers, change of company name or change of company location.

Companies can be de-registered, either on the request of the company shareholders or based on the provisions of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Private Companies Regulations

Licensing

The Licensing team provides FZ-LLCs and branches of UAE/foreign companies with a commercial license to operate in the Free Zone. Licenses are provided for specific approved activities for a period of one year, renewable on a yearly basis

The licensing section provides the service of renewing licenses on an annual basis.   Licenses can also be amended on the request of the free zone companies, i.e., change of business segments and activities, change of managers, change of company name or change of company location.

Licenses are cancelled when a business partner becomes non-operational, or requests its license to be cancelled.
