Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone is a diverse free zone made up of nine business parks, owned and operated by TECOM Investments. The diverse business parks are consolidated into four industry cluster groups, with each business park operating as a distinct entity. The four industry cluster groups are: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Media, Education and Sciences.
The choice of location for a potential business partner will depend on the nature of the business activity. Commercial licenses and freelance permits issued by Dubai Technology and Free Zone Authority allow businesses to carry out the specific approved business activities in each of the TECOM business parks.
Every licensee holds a license under a single business segment which covers activities listed under that particular segment. Regional Head Quarters
Hotels and Leisure Services
Property Management Services
Should a company wish to engage in activities related to multiple business segments (e.g., both Media and IT), in principle, Dubai Technology & Media Free Zone Authority has no objection either to list two different Segments or add a different segment to the existing license of the Company provided that:
- Approval from the concerned Business Park has been obtained
- The company has leased suitable premises from the concerned Business Park in order to operate from such leased premises
